406 Woman Magazine | Fall 2023 Edition
I’m deeply grateful to have been featured in 406 Woman Magazine (Fall 2023 issue) with a two-page spread titled “The Accidental Artist.”
The article shares what first ignited my creative journey. In the spring of 2013, I faced an unthinkable tragedy — the mysterious deaths of my brother, his former wife, and their 17-year-old son in a small Arizona town of just 122 people. After five years of searching for answers as a self-taught investigator, I finally had to let go of the chase for justice and turn toward something that brought peace — art.
What began as a way to process grief slowly became a passion that changed my life. Through acrylic pour painting, I found a language for healing, and to my surprise, that work began to resonate with others. From the depths of loss emerged a new beginning through acrylic pour art — one pour at a time.
